Today

I haven't done much
besides
stick a third of a roll of Valentines bubble tape in my mouth
and stand in the shower,
blowing giant bubbles,
while trying to come up with a creative cover of a Fleetwood Mac song.

With no water running
(I forgot to turn it on).

But on other days  I've done lots of things.
like:

You BET that's me on the accordion!

  •  Last week when we formed a little band in our living room [guitar: mika violin: brookie  banjo: b-ricks keyboard/beats: kato and nan (yours truly)]  .

  •  And then we tried some fleet foxes and simon & garfunkle and sufjan on for size, and peppered them with some mournful fairy harmonies.
  •  And then we called ourselves Children of the American Revolution and played a little opener on Friday:

love, sleep deprivation, and tambourine bruises,
banana

then I take it you got my package

Carry

I want to carry you
and for you to carry me
the way voices are said to carry over water.

Just this morning on the shore,
I could hear two people talking quietly
in a rowboat on the far side of the lake.

They were talking about fishing,
then one changed the subject,
and, I swear, they began talking about you.

Billy Collins

that's all, folks
